The truth, as uttered by my health-conscious mother (Peggy Sue - born in 1958, the same year Buddy Holly released the famous song though my grandparents swore total ignorance of its existence or influence on baby name choices). It was a shocking declaration to her three teenage daughters who did not share her views on wheatgrass juice or the virtues of garlic extract. I pointed out that I might just make a piece of artwork out of her statement to which, she replied, "Please don't do that." 
 
I gave it to her for Mother's Day about 15 years later.
